Welcome to Bida Fencing Academy

A world-class fencing academy in Silicon Valley built by Olympians for the next generation of fencers.

Bida Fencing Academy was founded to create an environment where athletes can develop from their very first fencing lesson to the highest level of international competition.

Led by Olympians Sergey and Violetta Bida and an internationally experienced coaching team, BFA combines elite-level technical training, individual coaching, physical preparation, competition strategy, and long-term athlete development.

We work with children, competitive athletes, and adults of all levels. For young athletes, our goal goes far beyond learning how to fence. We teach discipline, confidence, responsibility, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure.

For athletes who choose the competitive path, BFA provides a structured system designed to take them as far as their talent, commitment, and ambition can lead — from local tournaments and national championships to international competition and, ultimately, the pursuit of Olympic gold.

Bida Fencing Academy is not simply a place to practice fencing. It is a place to grow, compete, and pursue excellence.

OUR GOALS

  • Create a clear and structured pathway from an athlete’s first steps in fencing to national and international competition.
  • Provide professional, Olympic-level training for athletes at every stage of development.
  • Develop strength, coordination, endurance, and overall physical fitness through fencing.
  • Build confidence, discipline, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Help every athlete pursue their personal goals — from making a school team to competing for Olympic gold.
  • Support student-athletes who aim to combine high-level fencing with admission to leading colleges and universities.
  • Introduce athletes of all ages to fencing and help them develop a lifelong passion for the sport.
